Did you forget your Populi password?

Yeah, it happens! There are a few ways to deal with it by resetting your password. But first, a couple notes:

  • If you're a student, you can use any of the methods mentioned below to reset your password.
  • If you are a staff or faculty user, you must have a verified text messaging number to reset your own password. If not, you will need to ask a staff user at your school to send you a reset password email.

Resetting your password with a text verification code

If you have a verified text messaging number, here's how to reset your password from the login screen:

  1. Go to the Populi's login screen: Click Here
  2. Click Forgot your username or password?
  3. Enter the email address used to first set up your account. This is most likely your own personal email address.
  4. Click Send.
  5. Check that address for the reset password message. The sender name will be CBTS via notifications@populi.co. The subject will say Populi Login.
  6. The email will contain your username and a link to CBTS's Populi site where you can reset your password. Click the link.
  7. Populi will ask you for a verification code. This code will be texted to your mobile phone. When the code arrives on your phone, enter it into Populi and click Verify.
  8. On the password-reset page, follow the instructions for entering your new password. When you click Save Password, Populi will log you in as normal.

Resetting your password from the login screen

If you do not have a verified text messaging number, here's how to reset your password from the login screen. Remember that this method does not work for staff and faculty users—you'll need to ask a staff user to send you a reset password email.

  1. Go to your CBTS's Populi login screen:  CLICK HERE
  2. Click Forgot your username or password?
  3. Enter the email address used to first set up your account. This is most likely your own personal email address.
  4. Click Send.
  5. Check that address for the reset password message. The sender name will be CBTS via notifications@populi.co. The subject will say Password reset.
  6. The email will contain your username and a link to your school's Populi site where you can reset your password. Click the link and follow the prompts.

If you receive such an email without having clicked the link or requested it,  it is most likely a counterfeit. Report it immediately, and do not click any of its links or enter any sensitive information the message may be requesting.
